Introducing Capsule 8 -

Hyde & Stone’s Capsule 8 is inspired by the delicate dance between shadow and light. Following on from the romantic spirit of Capsule 7, designer Jemyma Kavanagh has this season continued her focus on quality craftsmanship and timeless design, while also turning her gaze to the tradition of art history and the concept of ‘Chiaroscuro’ for this latest considered collection.

The muted colour palette of Capsule 8 offers a blank canvas for the exploration of bold tonal contrasts — the art of ‘Chiaroscuro’ — and sets the stage for a delicate dance between inky black hues and dreamy cream colourways. Which, in turn, serves as an ode to the transitional nature of the Hyde & Stone wardrobe — where daytime dressing effortlessly meets refined eveningwear.

Meanwhile, the impeccable fabrications and design details featured throughout Capsule 8 evoke a spirit of relaxed femininity and contemporary elegance. Organic pure cotton fibres meet refined 100% Shantung silks, which are known for their crisp lightness, fluted texture, and elegant drapery. This season also sees the introduction of an artisanal crochet lace, which boasts an intricate open weave and lends a three-dimensional quality to the capsule, in a nod to traditional craftsmanship.

The beautiful texture and tactility of Hyde & Stone’s delicate new crochet lace is complemented by thoughtful feminine touches such as higher hemlines, fine strap detailing, and a fresh hint of translucency. All of which serves to capture a relaxed sense of romanticism.

With a foundation of quality craftsmanship and an insouciant spirit, Hyde & Stone’s Capsule 8 represents a carefree new chapter in the modern woman’s wardrobe. A limited collection of considered wardrobe essentials, these pieces are all made in Australia using premium fabrications and are designed to last well beyond the season; to be paired back with seasons past and future in the curation of an enduring capsule wardrobe.
